The Saga Begins
This series is one of
the most ambitious project of DC. The
Man of Steel Vs. The Caped Guardian. A lot of storylines have been written
of the concept, but this Series brings something new on the table.
The story begins with Silent, Crimeless, Utopian Gotham – A
Gotham Batman always dreamt of. But this is SILENCE OF FEAR – Fear of the
Monarch. World in now under the direct control of Superman, where Batman leads
the Rebel Forces.
5 Years Ago (The
Flashback):
This flashback gives
us the circumstances and actions that have led to present World- the World
ruled by Superman.
In a night, Superman hears two heartbeats from Lois body,
indicating that Lois is pregnant, which fills him with joy of parenthood. He
shares his happiness with Lois, and plans to visit Star Labs next day for
medical examination of Lois.
Suddenly Lois gets an anonymous tip regarding a councilman,
and decided to leave for the Docks for investigation. Superman argues and tries to go with her, but Lois stops him and assures
him, as Jimmy will be with her. Half-heartedly he allows her to go to Docks.
Isnt the fear of Superman the indication of something
evil, something very very evil?
Later, Superman finds Batman fighting
some criminals in Metropolis. Batman informs him of theft in Star Labs, where
something sensitive was taken.
Star Labs has a great repository of powerful weapons
and machines that “always” prove disastrous when in Evil’s hand, remember Cold
Gun of Caption Cold.
The World’s greatest
Detective, Batman finds out that Lois is pregnant, suprising Superman. Superman
asks Batman to be his child’s GodFather, and we see Batman smiling.
Smiling Batman is rare. Very Very Rare.
On the Docks, while looking for
Councilman, Lois finds someone weird. Even before she can think of, a bullet
hits Jimmy, killing him on the spot. And the comics ends with the entry of Agent
of Chaos – Joker, along with Harley Quin.
A simple equation of DC World :
Theft in Star Labs + Joker + Lois = Disaster
What the disaster is? How is it going to affect Superman? Batman? The World? For all answers we have to wait for the next chapter.
